Satellite imagery revealed new storage facilities for tactical nuclear weapons, rapid-delivery systems, and enhanced security measures—particularly at the Olenya Air Base in northern Russia, which may store nuclear armaments for the submarine fleet.
Canada has introduced its largest sanctions package since the start of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, targeting 53 individuals and 11 entities. Those sanctioned include operators of Russia’s “shadow fleet,” representatives from the energy sector, IT companies, defense enterprises, media organizations, and Putin's former wife, Lyudmila Ocheretnaya.
