Development of the defence industry

In September 2025, the Economic Security Council of Ukraine presented the ‘Analysis of Ukraine’s Export Control Systems’ during the roundtable ‘Integration of the Ukrainian defence industry into the European defence industry market space’, organised in cooperation with the European Union’s Office of Defence Innovation. The event took place as part of the Brave1 Defence Tech Valley International Investment Summit.

In October 2025, the defence industry development team advocated for the creation of an International Defence Procurement Agency (IDPA) at the ‘Defending Europe’s Future’ conference in Copenhagen, organised by Tænketanken EUROPA.

In November 2025, the organisation presented a study entitled ‘EU/NATO Technology and IP Management Models for Ukraine’. The report highlights the country’s loss of defence innovations due to ineffective protection of intellectual property rights, and proposes a roadmap for legislative reforms.
